Accelare's Capability-based Business Architecture Software

In 2010 Accelare announced the commercial launch of WhatFirst, an easy-to-use web-based solution for designing and managing the performance of a capability-based business architecture. WhatFirst is now in the early adoption phase at over 200 companies. These companies are leveraging Accelare’s collection of methods and techniques for enterprise performance improvement called Dynamic Business Architecture.™

WhatFirst 2010 guides users through the process of clarifying business strategy, defining the business architecture, and building the plan.

WhatFirst includes:

  • An inventory of business capability models for a number of industries and corporate functions
  • Methodology guidance consistent with the principles of business architecture standards like TOGAF v9
  • Accelare’s strategy clarification tools including a Value Mapping Module
  • IT Architecture module, aligns IT resources to business capabilities

Community Edition
This edition makes it easy for teams new to business architecture or small companies to design and build a capability-based business architecture. Community Edition is free for up to three users and one capability model.

Architect Edition
The Architect Edition offers everything that an architect or planner needs in order to design and build a strategy, design a capability model, and align other resources to meet objectives.

Enterprise Edition
The ability to scale users, models, and robust reporting capabilities makes the Enterprise Edition the right answer for most enterprise customers.
