WorkFit - Pick a Card...Any Card

by Matt Burke, on May 3, 2017 9:00:00 AM

Over the past the past two months, I've been on a nation wide customer journey.  Literally.  Presenting the WorFit - Pick a Cardnew and improved WorkFit to our existing customers.  I decided on the unconventional way to get the word out.  Face to face.

This "face to face" customer experience has been invaluable as it has given me a chance to sit down with old friends and truly see how each one of our customers are using the product.  I want to thank all of you for your continued support and on going feedback.  I am finally back in Austin and looking forward to sharing the new and improved WorkFit with you.

This year has certainly brought some exciting changes to the product.  Most notably, the transition from Silverlight to HTML.   Over the next few months, the team will be blogging about the conversion to HTML and what you can expect to see as we complete this transition.

WorkFit Conversion to HTML

One feature that received high praise from our customers is the new "cards" visual in WorkFit.   Instead of keeping you in suspense, I've included a few images:

Capability ModelWorkFit - Capability Cards

Does the image above look like a Capability Model?  Don't worry, we still have the "tree view". The new "cards" present key information such as:

  • Operating Costs
  • FTE Count
  • Total Investments - Projects
  • Capability Health
  • Capability Owners

As our customers have matured with capability-based planning, the request for this information has been consistently growing.  In fact, one of our customers referred to this as "The Enterprise Accountability View".  More to follow on this.

These cards are also used in the Project Planning Module.   Offering the ability to organize your projects into Portfolios providing information related to various Project requests.

Project PortfolioWorkFit - Portfolio Cards

The reality is that there are many many moving parts when driving towards strategy execution:

  • Operational priorities of the business
  • Portfolio design and management
  • Understanding the impact of the projects in flight,
  • and delivering on the strategic intent of the organization's plan.

Pick a card, any card... lets just make sure its one that suites you.

Stay tuned for more WorkFit feature updates as we continue the HTML transition. If you are interested in learning more about the new HTML WorkFit please click below.  I will coordinate a personalized walk through of all the new features.
